Can anyone confirm if the removal of the trim on the M coupe (the piece around the gearstick and handbrake) is the identical process as the standard convertible? I’m having trouble removing the knee pads to get access to some screws? I believe these are just meant to prize off but my ones don’t seem to be moving nor can I seem to get any of my trim removal tools behind them as there is no gap at all! Any pointers would be greatly Appreciated.

Cheers for the response will give it another go tomorrow! These cars internal trim are b@st@rds to work on!
 
Push something bulky up under the knee pad and then press firmly around it. Should just pop out.
 
All done and my new dash trims which I had hydro dipped look great, however that was a complete nightmare to strip out. Hopefully never again!
