Removal of dashboard trim, I’m having a problem removing the final 4” of the dash trim just by the airbag and passenger side Side window air vent. Can any of you guys confirm if there are any screws by that corner, or is it just force? I have used some serious strength but it’s just not shifting and as it’s right next to the airbag I’m a little concerned. Any help/ advice would be appreciated.

Have a look at the following video, there does appear to be a screw below the passenger side air vent.

I think there is a flat sprung clip that push’s thru a hook of sorts that is on rear of the dash your trying to remove. Try and get a small mirror to view it once you’ve removed glovebox. Sorry but it was a while ago I removed mine.

This ring is a bit of a nightmare to get out. As stated go in the vent, but I never bothered putting it back in once I'd had the trim off as the clips held it in place just fine

Thanks guys I managed to strip the old dashboard out late morning, and yes I didn’t need to remove the glovebox, but by God was that bloody difficult to get that clip out or what! Just purchased a new centre air vent as mine was broken anyway so whilst I’m doing the change of dash it makes sense to do that as well. I’ve worked on a lot of BMW cars but nothing as difficult as these!
