Hi folks,

Here is my problem, I just purchased my new/used 2003 Z4, Any ideas how to prevent the lower part of the front bumper from getting scratched from going over little inclines, i.e. my driveway has a slight incline, the apron to the driveway is so small, yet
even if I pull in slow, Sometimes it still hits the lower dam/bumper, Any help would be most appreciated!

Thank in advance!!
Bob

I had the same problem so I bought this. http://64.225.94.154/ShopSite/product290.html

It works great, but here the thing. I had to remove it due to a mishap :( and see that it's still all scratched underneath. So every time you hit the spoilergaurd, it causes some friction on the paint. So when I remove it, it won't be perfect. However, at least is just minor scratches. So that's just paint repair. The gaurd takes all the gouges.

Super easy to install too.

Does the car have the sport package? If it does, you might want to consider replacing the sport springs with the OEM non-sport springs which would raise the ride height another 0.6".

Or you can put some lumber inbetween the gap before the drive-way.

007-Z4,

I've had a similar problem as I have the sport suspension. I approach the driveway curb at my house at 45 or greater degree angle. By turning the closest tire into the curb, the tire raises the front bodywork high enough for clearance.

Of course, I had to learn this the hard way, and before I could coach my wife on the proper method, she found the clearance too low also.

I hope this helps in some instances.

Cheers !!
