Help - Wobbly Steering at speed

I have a 3.0Si and my car feels the same. I just thought it was a quirk of the electric power steering. I had the control arms and their bushes replaced though and now it feels a little better but still not right.

I thought most of the issues with the actual steering column were sorted with the facelift model?

I had thought that any remaining issues were most likely to do with the suspension.

My "wobble" doesn't feel like a vibration as I would imagine unbalanced wheels, but more of a random slight pulling to the left and right whilst driving at 60+. Is yours the same?

You could really do with borrowing a set of wheels and tyres I guess and so could I at that.

I experienced this quite badly when I had my 108's refurbed & was using another set of 108's with RFT's - put it mainly down to the RFT's.

As others have said, the suspension components should be examined as the Zed has a far more aggressive camber than most cars so any deficiency in any of the components (RFTs vs non-RFTs, lollipops, camber, steering rack, anti-roll bars, wheel balancing etc) is going to be amplified.

Since poly bushing, running non-RFT PS3's & having a broken drop link replaced, car has settled down very nicely & only wanders a bit when the road surface becomes uneven, but no where near as before.
