My son’s X1 (F48) has developed a knock at the front end which I have tracked down to the drivers side drive shaft. If I grip it, I can move it a couple of millimetres between the gearbox and the wheel hub, recreating the knock. The majority of the movement (and the knocking) seem to come from the hub end. Any idea how to remedy this?
Do I need a new drive shaft or does something just need tightening up / regreasing?
