Help with replacement hood motor

Awesome, mine is starting to sound like it is struggling so I would like to get it sorted before it does fail. Have you ever manually operated the roof? I might need to learn if it does die :)

Hi and welcome by the way!

"bowser134" is the nearest to you - he's in Hampshire (Yateley I think). Otherwise it's "Number 5", but he's in the Bristol area!

Hi and welcome
Forgot to ask, how do I contact "bowser134"? (My username was chosen for a reason - no idea how this site works!)

Simply click on the 'Members' tab at the top of the page, then click on 'Find a member' & input 'bowser134' ( without the quotes) & then press search. Click on his name in the list below & then click 'PM: Send private message'. You have 3 posts now so you should be able to PM him. Hope that helps. And welcome btw  .

I have already had my motor moved to the boot last year and was working great but it now need's a wee push when it opens then works fine rest of the way.It closes perfectly.
Does anyone think this could be the hydraulic oil is low?. Going to snip the cable tie and check it this weekend as it's been put in pretty tight and cant get to the top up bit as its facing the rear seat. i did find some oil on a piece of paper towel i put underneath it so could it be leaking or would this be the WD40 that was sprayed on it?. failing this a wee day trip to Durham and contact Dave.

That should do it Cheryl.

You could always post an introduction in the Newbies section too!

Forget the above !
I've just realised that the OP was some time back and Cheryl is picking up on an old thread !
(I'll still message Bowser (Ross) for you though)
