Help with removing phone cradle from stowage compartment.

Well I've gone and upgraded my car to a facelift z4 and I want to keep my iPhone charger.

I'm having trouble removing it though :( I can remove the first part but I'm not sure how to unplug the second part (required as its iPhone specific)

So I can remove the first bit leaving this:

And I can unclip the second part leaving this, but I can't workout how/where to unplug the loom, can anybody please help :(

Thanks

Looks like you are going to have to remove the centre rear trim to get to the plug I'm afraid.

If you PM me your email address I can send you 3 PDF's with the instructions.

FWIW
the part you are having difficulty with is the "eject box "it is actually part of the OEM bluetooth factory fit and is not removable as such
All the various phone cradles fit into it
if you remove it the vehicle no longer has F/F Bluetooth
Replcements are readily available from BMW
The early eject box up to and past 2007 would not accept the wider smart phone cradles so it was updated probably 2008/9 which then take the iPhone
cradles from the earliest iPhones

The Bluetooth on my 2006 Z4M worked without any cradle or eject box fitted, as BMW ordered the wrong part, so my car was without it for about a week.

Bluetooth still worked with the phone in my pocket.

I've now got the wider holder in the armrest after spending £200 or so to get BMW to fit it all properly (didn't do it myself as I probably would have made a mess removing the cd multi-changer and other bits to get to the connection).

It is apparently :( I had my Dealer replace mine as even the face lift came with the pre iPhone size eject box and needed changing

think he just means can you pull the wired part to bits

trouble is if I understand he wants remove the eject box before selling but appears not to replace it
It might still work signal wise but is not a complete factory fit Bluetooth and will leave a messy hole
and is a nightmare to do

No I'm buying another z4 just a newer one and it has another non iphne cradle I am going to fit back in its place.

I should have made that clear lol

You are planning to put an old eject box (pre iPhone) from the newer car back into the older one and take your
iPhone compatible eject box and refit in newer car ?????? Is that it
