Help removing trim!

I’m trying to change my rear suspension struts on my e86 and therefore need to remove the boot trim to access the top of the strut tower.

I can’t for the life of me work out how to remove the piece of trim in the top corners of the boot beneath the rear mini window. I’ve pulled it upwards with as much force as I am willing to risk before breaking it. Is there a particular knack or tool I should use?

Spookily I just asked the same question here: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1939299#p1939299
Watch this as I think [ref]Brouse[/ref] is going to get me some pics

Thanks for the responses.

I had another go this evening. Used a little bit more force than the first attempt and off it came.

@1536Z4 - thanks for the link. Very useful and reassuring to see someone else taking this stuff off.

For others future reference, the clip that the guy in the video couldn’t remove which holds the carpet to the side of the boot. This clip has a pin running through the middle of it. Pry this out with a flat head screwdriver and the clip will come away quite easily.
