Help with removing headers

So i have been searching for days to help remove headers on my z4. I have seen some diy, but none for 2003 e85/m54 engines. I am having trouble getting the heatshield right above the exhaust manifold. Bc that is in the way, I cant see and reach the bolts holding the headers in place. the later models have 4 bolts holding the heatsheild in place but mine doesnt have any bolts. any idea how to remove this???

I've changed my headers for the E36 M3 headers on my E85 Z4 (M54). I did it whilst I swapped the engine over from a 2.5 to 3.0 with few modifications to the headers, mainly at the flange. There are some details of what I did here.
