Help with pulleys and belts

Hello everyone,
I am a relatively new owner of my first BMW, it's a 2004 2.5i Z4 (E85), with approximately 50k miles. I work on the road, so unfortunately, I am only able to drive it occasionally, but when I have the opportunity, I absolutely love it. The last time that I was home and out for a drive, I noticed that it developed a fairly loud screeching sound. I sprayed a little wd-40 on the idler pulley and the screech disappeared. After reading through the incredibly thorough and valuable information on this forum, I decided that it would probably be best to replace all of the pulleys and belts at the same time, but after a parts search, I'm not entirely certain of the necessary parts for the job. If someone could verify what I think to be correct, I would be most grateful.

Welcome

The pulleys you are replacing are the ones I changed to fix similar faults.
I'm not going to search through aftermarket parts sites, so suggest you put your chassis number into realoem.com and find the correct BMW parts, then cross reference to aftermarket vendors.

had similar issue on a 6 series & its more likely the belt tensioner wheels as opposed to the pulley wheels themselves ?
on mine there were 2 of each so replaced both tensioner pulley's (£24 each) & silent running returned

Thank you very much for the responses,
I'm certain that the screech is from the idler pulley, as for the part #'s I'll figure it out.
Thank you.

Btw - buy the pulley alone. No need to spend money on the bracket.

Thank you very much for the heads up...I wasn't sure if I should be concerned with the springs or not.
