My 19yr old daughter & friend are spending this weekend in London then Monday morning heading to Brighton for 2 nights . Don't ask me why  its a place she's always fancied visiting :?
I know there are cultured types in the area & wondered if there were any restaurants you would recommend for the Monday & Tuesday evenings plus any places of interest to see ?
Thanks folks

Hi, got to go & see the lanes-they're full of individual type shops & interesting to look around, not far from the pier from memory
Regards

My home town...

She'll have to have a walk on the pier & along the prom, see the Royal Pavillion, maybe a sewer tour if they're running one and she can fit it in. Brighton museum is very good and it's housed in a John Nash building, and there's the Engineerium near Hove Greyhound Stadium. A walk around the marina can be interesting if it's a nice day (get there by a ride on the Volks Electric Railway) and the undercliff walk between Saltdean & Rottingdean can be spectacular during (not too) stormy weather. If visiting the Lanes, don't miss the North Laine area which is south of the stretch of Queens Road between Brighton Station and The Clock Tower

There's a Choccywoccydoodah in the Lanes if she's into that sort of thing

Lots of restaurants... Browns is good and not too expensive, and there's lots of decent pubs & pub grub but quality can change from one year to the next so the best thing is to use google and look for some current reviews

That's quite a long shot as to what 19 year old girls like to do on a weekend away......

I'm a massive carnivore, and loved the brazilian Rodizio Preto is a god laugh, where there's a buffet plus they bring meat out on skewers and slice it off for you.
The coal shed is very good too, more of a proper restaurant.

Thanks for all replies , she does like "nice" places to eat , not the usual burger joints but then not looking for a white gloved maitre d  somewhere in the middle ?
Her favourite in Manchester is The Alchemist if that helps ?
