Help with my advert.

I've had a change in circumstances that means it's no longer practical to keep my Z4MR. To say I'm gutted is an understatement but it's only a car and there are more important things in life, at least that's what I keep telling myself. Anyway I've not sold a car privately before so I would really appreciate some pointers with the advert before I put it out there. Have I missed anything or could I do things in a different way? I think I could do with some better photos. Some feedback on what kind of price I should be asking/expecting would be really helpful too.

Many thanks in advance.

EQUIPMENT
Champagne Nappa Leather seats and door cards, Carbon leather trim, BMW navigation system, Rear parking sensors, Cruise control, Wind deflector, Storage Package, Heated electric seats with driver's seat memory, THX Certified premium 10-speaker audio system with two subwoofers, iPod Seamless Integrated System, BMW Assist with Bluetooth®, Automatic dimming mirrors, Automatic climate control AC, Auto-levelling Xenon headlamps, Remote electric softtop, Spare keys.

EXTERIOR
One of less than 80 Imola Red roadsters left in the country, the bold lines of this Z4 M present beautifully. The paintwork is in wonderful condition and boasts a deep shine with no signs of fading that can sometimes happen to red cars. The sculpted exterior is in excellent condition with no unsightly dents to the arrow-straight panels each side.

On close inspection there are few chips to the leading edge of the bonnet or front bumper with all lenses crystal clear and crack-free. All rubbers and seals around the car are in perfect order, as are the badges. The black softtop remains in as new condition with no scratches or tears, and is operable from within the car or alternatively from outside using the key fob.

INTERIOR
The inside of the Z4 is adorned in BMW's individual champagne leather, the leather is in lovely condition but as you would expect with this sort of seats there is a little wear on the drivers side seat bolster .

The carbon leather dash and centre console present beautifully, with no signs of scratches to any of the switchgear or trim within the car. The chunky steering wheel retains its factory texture, as does the illuminated gear knob. The upgraded 10-speaker sound system, coupled with the car's iPod connectivity, provides a first rate acoustic experience whether the roof is up or down.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Under the bonnet lurks the 3.2-litre, 24-valve straight-six engine. Producing an astonishing 338hp, it rockets the car from 0-60 in under five seconds. On first turn of the key the car springs to life with the addictive straight-six growl.

Unsurprisingly the engine bay is very tidy indeed, with absolutely no modifications to be found. All plastics and components appear factory fresh, with everything in fine fettle.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The Z4 sits on the correct 18-inch light-alloy wheels. All four are in good order with only minute curb marking to one of them. The centre caps show no signs of discolouration and also present well.

The alloys are shod in tyres with ample tread remaining. Due to the traditional hydraulic power steering set-up on the Z4 M, the tyres are not run flats. This means that not only are they more reasonable to replace, but they also provide a slightly less harsh ride.

HISTORY FILE
First registered on 11th June 2007 and supplied by Synter of High Wycombe, this Z4 M has covered a mere 64k miles and is complemented by a full service history.

Present in the history file is the original leather document holder complete with no less than nine BMW booklets. The dealer-supplied service book is stamped with 6 services including the all important running in service at 1156 miles. The most recent service having been a very expensive service 2 that included valve clearances carried out at 58017 miles.

In addition to this the car has recently had all new original brake discs and pads on both the front and rear. The car was reacently diagnosed with a noisy Vanos unit so that has been fully overhauled with all new parts and is running exactly as the factory intended. At the same time the Clutch Delay Valve was removed, this is a very popular modification that allows much more feel to the clutch action.

Can't get much more detailed than that to me! If I could justify it to the missus I'd take it off your hands, it's my perfect spec!

The recent service is named 'Inspection II'. Is the private plate included in the sale? Many buyers have an idea of what is standard specification so you could make the advertisement more easily read by separating standard features from the optional extras. Obviously you'll need to include a location and price in the final draft. I would photograph the curbed wheel so that potential buyers can see that the damage is minor.

Good luck

Looks a good example.

What price are you thinking? You must have some idea

Retail this could be up for £15k but private £13-14k IMO

Can't see price or number of prev owners :?
Nice colour combo though & sure to be popular so would not envisage any difficulty selling if ask price is reasonable

Price, number of owners, where has it been serviced each service?(BMW, Indi, combination) Who did the vanos overhaul, BMW or an indi? All matters :)
In the pictures the front pic shows a gap between top of headlight and wing (left side), or is it an illusion due to camera angle/lighting?

Thanks for the reply folks. I've had a few emails already but if/when I put the advert out there I'll keep in mind your comments.
