I need to take my wheels off but unfortunately I don't seem to have the locking Wheel nut socket. I don't think it was with the car when I bought it last year. My question is, what is the best way of getting them off. I have new ones so damaging them isn't a problem. I think they are the original ones supplied with the car as they have the "star" in the middle of the nut head.

what I would do is... If there is a good centre, dot(Centre) punch it and drill 7mm or 8mm hole into the stud about 1/2 an inch depth.
Then use a large "easy out" tap it in and turn the bolt out .
Be carefull not to break the easy out as they're made of hardened steel and you'll have a bigger problem then. :!:

You could try chiseling it off but you risk damaging the wheel and If it's very tight it's a waste of time ...but you might be lucky

Just buy a locking wheel nut/stud removal tool from Halfords or Screwfix.

what's the point of locking wheel nuts if some toady scroat nips along to screwfix and purloins a set of these………….
when I had an issue I found a local welder, who simply welded a standard wheel nut onto the busted one and bob was my fathers brother - £10 job done, but if screwfix have these little beauties, then it saves any potential damage to your wheels.

Go to dealer they have a master set & i'am sure they will let you use it & order you one up. Happened to me a few years ago.

Thankfully mr toady scroat is too tight and too lazy to buy a set and is much more of an opportunist. Fit locking nuts on yours and chances are he'll go to the next car and have those instead. If a pro they or the car will go regardless if they really want them.
I hate locking wheel nuts, my last Audi only had the wheels off at the dealers, got a puncture and couldnt get the thing off, callled the aa who couldnt get the thing off,
Took it to Audi who broke their master key and drilled them out
