Help with folding mirrors

Hi everyone.
Wasn’t sure where to post this so I’m sorry if it’s in the wrong section
I’m wanting my mirrors to fold via my remote (I don’t have comfort access) and I’ve tried via BimmerCode with no success.
When I insert my key into my door lock and lock my door and hold the key to the lock position for a second or two the mirrors fold.
Any help would be appreciated

Thankyou

It can be done with Carly, but needs to be done in both the NFRM & CAS modules, not just one module. You then press and hold the lock button of the fob for 2 seconds for them to fold on lock. Normal press and release to unlock/open.
It can also be done with NCSExpert, and with a bit of extra "tweaking" you can have "instant fold on lock"!!

Hi, care to share the extra 'tweaking' for 'instant fold on lock'. Have NCSExpert working.

Thanks. Typical I’ve got BimmerCode and not Carly.
I don't know how BimmerCode works or displays individual modules for coding, but if it does it in a way of NFRM (FRM) codings then you also have CAS codings then just check the two modules to see what's ofered. In Carly you code one module at a time, normally though when coding you only need to do one, but on some they are interlinked with others so, as in this case, you need to do the two parts separately.

You can absolutely enable this with bimmercode - search my previous posts for a full guide on how.

Done it twice - both times easy (if you know what you are looking for).

As I say, go search my previous posts for the full breakdown.

This one?...

Earlier than that - search not showing the details unfortunately & I deleted my notes on this quite a few years ago :(

But yes - can confirm it can be done in bimmercode as I did it twice - the details of the exact items you need to change are findable by googling.

From memory, it was 4 seperate places you needed to set - not just the obvious 2 in bimmercode.

4 places? As in separate modules? Or lines of coding?
Either way that sounds a lot more complicated than Carly, which is one click in each of the two modules and you're done.

I hear what you are saying - Carly may be simpler.

But I used what I had (Bimmercode) rather than buy another tool that may (or may not) have been better.

No, fully appreciate that, I'd have done the same.
I appreciate Carly isn't always brilliant, like it tells you things are available but in reality they aren't. Which is why I prefer to use NCSExpert for most things.

if anyone finds this before i do, can you paste it in this thread? I also have bimmercode and would be interested in coding this.

Does this mean I have code using the NETTODAT file for all future changes as this is a custom entry?
So long as you read from the NFRM first then it'll retain the coding, this is a permanent coding. The only issue might come if you did a factory reset, that would probably undo any coding that wasn't factory done, but unless you have a major issue then you'd nit be doing that anyway (y)
