Help with fault codes please

I think I know what the fault codes below mean but hoping someone with more experience can confirm before I spend any money on parts.

Just run a diagnostic with Carly (light version so I cannot reset and rerun the check until I upgrade) but was hoping this is enough for now as I guess it means I have a reasonably expensive repair coming up....

Engine / Motor
electric coolant pump, shut down
Code: 002E82
electric coolant pump, the communication
Code: 002E84
electric coolant pump, speed deviation
Code: 002E81
variable intake control motor
Code: 002AAB

Cheers

Start pricing up a new pump and stat... Do you have an EML? I'd not do any long journeys until you get it sorted to be safe. And if the temp light comes on, stop straight away.

Thought it was the waterpump failing :(

No warning lights just noticed it starting to overheat. Did it once before a month or so ago and couldn't find any fault codes and been fine ever since but ordered the carly cable and its done it again today so plugged in and downloaded the fault codes.

Anyone have a link for the new pump, pretty sure there was a cheaper place to get it from, got a decent indy who wont charge the earth to fit it and to be honest the front needs to come off to fit the new headlight washer that's been sat on my desk for weeks

Thanks!

Anyone know if the thermostat is necessary to replace as well?

Looked on Real OEM and came up with this part number

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oil-Cooler-Radiator-Expansion-Tank-Thermostat-for-BMW-E46-E53-E83-E85-1711143736-/301747612545?hash=item46418f2b81:g:sXkAAOSwXeJYMsYL

But I thought I'd seen it be a more expensive part... Am I looking at the wrong thing or is it just cheaper on an auto?

This is the real OEM page for my car if anyone can decode it better than me... Cant even find the water pump on there :headbang:

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partgrp?id=BU53-USA-07-2006-E85-BMW-Z4_30si

Sorry I'm a moron... Found it

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BU53-USA-07-2006-E85-BMW-Z4_30si&diagId=11_3754

And searched the part code

So one more question would this do:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THERMOSTAT-WITH-HOUSING-BMW-1-3-SERIES-125-130-135-323-325-328-330-335-/151691844430?hash=item235189db4e:g:c2oAAOSwl8NVYbGl

Or should I spend the extra for this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E90-E91-E92-E93-323i-325i-330-N52-N53-engines-Thermostat-BEHR-MAHLE-11537549-/371880044197?hash=item5695c726a5:g:WZcAAOSwtUtXA8Ya

Both claimed to be OEM spec :?
