Help with coding

Hi all,

New owner of a e89 and new to the forum, so Heya 😁

I was wondering if there’s anyone out there who could help me with some coding on my new(ish) chariot.

Specifically I’m looking to get an audible sound (beep) when arming or disarming the alarm. Also if it is possible to have the roof close with the key lock button, and finally if my wing mirrors can be coded to wind in when the car is locked (they only function from cockpit at the moment).

Bit of a shopping list there.

Many thanks for taking the time to read and/or reply.

PS: I’m just outside Plymouth, U.K. near Saltash.

Have a look at bimmercode and specifically what features they can do for your year/model. Bimmergeek pro tool is meant to be better, if you have an android phone, but again check what you can and cannot do.

I've just used bimmercode to remember the last setting on stop start, activate alarm chirp, change at what range the fuel warning lights come on and change the logo in the instrument panel, however I have a G29.

I used these for connecting to my iphone and obviously the app has to be bought.

Love it when we can welcome a new member with actual physical assistance. What it's all about in my view.

Welcome to the forum OP.

You're already getting the benefit of joining up! A forum member kindly coded my car for beep on locking, 3 flash indicators and a few other things. And someone else did my previous one. :)

But we do like to see photos of new members' cars, so you might want to post some before the photo police arrive.

Albeit not in person, within a short time of participating in the E89 forum, a fellow member hooked me up with bespoke MHD and xHP maps. Classy move. San Francisco is a long way from the UK, but if anybody needs anything from here, just ping me.

OP, dafuq, where are the bloody pictures?

How’s the ground clearance there..it’s a good test route to see how much clearance / what speed you can traverse that route?

Well Peter, the weather, traffic and visibility was awful, ground clearance was fine, speed was low, until it cleared on the way back but it was the first time I put the car into comfort mode for a slightly softer ride.

Back into sport plus for the run back up the road where progression was much swifter :driving:

The E85s struggled a bit on that track..got the occasional graunch but I was pressing on for that particular track..

Martin lost a spring there..

We’d kill for rain right now. That Chinese global warming hoax is burning the Sierra Nevada to the ground. Besides, it’d be nice to test the PS4S traction. :driving:

Definitely no grounding but wasn’t pressing on. We were talking about the road and said that with the general standard of the roads and most other drivers inability to drive on a single track road with any awareness we’ll not be in any rush to revisit it and hopefully some of our upcoming routes won’t be suffering the same driving standards. Almost every car we came up on yesterday seemed to have technical issues as none of them had a working reverse gear!!! :headbang:
