Help with a valuation for my Z4

Evening all,

so today there was a note on my Z4 with a number asking if I would sell it. I had never really thought about selling as it's my daily and it owes me nothing. I bought it for £7000 about 2 years ago after a sour experience with an OPC regarding a 981 Boxster S and I really had no expectations for the Z4 therefore it has surpassed them.

The spec as follows.

73000 miles
FSH
August 2004 SE
Sterling Grey exterior
Factory fitted red M sports seats.
Heated seats with electric adjustment and memory
Professional Nav
Xenons
Karver/THX BMW professional sound
Tyre pressure monitor? (not sure if this is an option)

I have modified with an aim to improve the dynamics.

Front control arms, bushes, track rods, Rogue rear shock mounts, Eibach rear camber arms.

AST 4100 coilovers with camber/caster top mounts. Fitted and adjusted in person by Curtis at AST.

K sport 8 pot front 356mm and 4 pot rear 330mm brakes.

Streamline engineering carbon airbox.

New roof motor and electric steering unit (column + EPS motor + lower UJ)

New battery, new starter motor, new disa valve.

Retrimmed steering wheel.

The car is generally in excellent condition which is why I'm not surprised it's attracted some attention.

If hypothetically I was to sell, how much should I be expecting to achieve?

It would be rude not to explore a potential sale.

Many thanks.

Assuming 3.0 & (but without seeing int & ext pics) i would expect no more than £6k but a few choice add ons would be worth splitting off
The brakes would certainly be worth removing & selling separate if you still have the original's

There's a 08 plate Zed 2.0i 44K miles in red, pretty basic spec, but immaculate, 16 inch rims on forecourt near me, with £10,495 in he window.....he'll easy get it too, despite the sharp intakes of breath I can hear!

If you are gonna sell it you need an idea what to replace it with - and that is where the trouble starts!

It's a 3.0.

I would have hoped for around 8k but modifications rarely add value in a mainstream market.

It'll be replaced with something a bit special.

I'm guessing whoever put the note on the windscreen would want the BBK.

Agreed they have seen the car & would be wanting as is & has the OP clearly has a figure in mind of £8k just let the guy have it between the eyes :o
From that point the negotiation hopefully results in 2 happy parties
Would still like to see some pics

The wheels are Oz Superleggera forged to fit over the brakes.

As I wasn't planning to sell I'll correspond with a 8K+ offer and see if we can come to an agreement. If not I'm left with a car that I enjoy. Win win.

Hope you get near that price - I have a 2004 3.0 SE sterling grey but with 108's and black M seats 29k miles totally original unmarked condition - I paid nearly £8k two years ago and think I would struggle to sell it at £7k now - have no desire to sell but would give me a feelgood factor if good examples of these early cars achieve these values.

Good luck anyway - hope you get what you consider a good price - as said though the problem comes when you try to find a comparable replacement :(

What ever you do,don't under sell. There are plenty out there priced £4 to £6k that are not a patch on yours.
