Help with 224M's

Hi guys and girls

Got the chance to acquire a set of genuine m wheels in good enough condition for £450. They come with continental tyres on with around 5mm of tread left. Does this sound like a reasonable deal?

I will be keeping the car through till next October at the very longest and may even swap early in the new year. Do you think the wheels will still have this kind of value in them then, barring any incidents of course.

Thanks for the help.

If the wheels are as you say then you should see your money returned if the tyres are still halfworn ? That would depend of course on how many miles you cover ?
If the tyres are shot when its time to sell then £300 for a set of 224,s requiring refurb is thereabouts ?
Great looking wheel though

Very good deal

Must have a chat with mr hutch about what he's selling me his for

It's a case of right place right time. Glad to hear I'm not being too naive, if the price is right I'll justify moving them on separately when I inevitably change again in the near future!

Am I right to assume that 5mm should get me about 6000 miles? I do about 30 miles a day 90% motorway...

Mine are waiting for you without a mark on them.

I know, and very grateful I am too. I was just fishing :P

5mm should get you 6000 miles but perhaps your question should have been " if my tyres are at 5mm what will be left after 6000 motorway miles "
