Help: USB in Dash

Morning folks, hope you are all good and ready for a weekend of fantastic weather !!

Am hoping you can help.

My Z goes into the garage on Monday to have a few bits done, having all dents and dings taken out and the paintwork sorted where needed.

While they have it, I've asked them to add a USB socket to the panel above the switches in the centre console. Can anyone tell me the name of the panel so I don't pick up the car and I've requested the wrong thing :D , I'm dropping it off on Sunday so will be leaving them a note of where I'd like it.

The panel I'm referring to is the one in the attached pic.

I also want them to change the 12v socket so its 'ignition on' only, or at the least switched. It bugs the shite out of me that its always live so can't leave anything plugged in!

Thanks in advance

**EDIT - Can I put it anywhere on that panel or is there crap behind there?

The panel comes out quite easily. Why don't you remove it, draw the circle where you want it and then leave it resting just below where it sits on top of the switches?

From memory there's not much behind it, but you'll probably want to take a look rather than leave it up to the garage to pick a spot and it irritate you forevermore. As Usel says, the panel pops out easily to take a look.

Yes plastic lever tool. I think the top has a hook/tab in the middle. I usually start at the sides and then either the bottom or top follows. Either way you can't go wrong. Also there is acres of space behind that panel
