Hi Guys

I’m a bit vague at the moment on details as the Mrs has just called and she was driving the car. So not had a chance to check owner’s manual for the correct meaning of the lights etc.... or look at it

Anyway she was driving along around 40ish and suddenly the car juddered a little and the following lights came on all at once

ABS yellow :?
RED one with an (!) bit like that next to the abs light :?
Another yellow under those in the middle of the dash (!) with a grill like bit under it :?
On the rev counter side a yellow triangle with a circle around it :?

She says the car seems to drive fine , although she thinks the steering seems a little stiffer....

Background... on Sunday I ran the battery flat while removing the dash left interior lights on over night  , jump her all was fine again also done aprox 90-100 miles since then have not experienced any previous issues. Side note notice it felt like a calliper had stuck / sticking on a little the other day had one / twice since been in for a service at Bmw... not sure if related. Has just been in for an inspection 2 the other day nothing was picked up ...

Did say brake fluid change is due / disc/pads are nearing the end of their lives but still a fair bit left, was planning to get done in March as MOT due then

Bit stuck / frustrated , has anyone had any similar experience ? going to get a diagnose done later at a local garage seen what comes up.. if not over to Bmw... as I write this am staring to think it maybe brake related...

Makes sense with regards to the symbols , also the judder may have triggered the RTF senors which is the grill one I think 3rd one down. Urrrgghh :(
Thanks in advance

Sounds like abs and tyre pressure monitoring system has she lost a tyre?? I don't know particularly what a flat run flat looks like but would be my first guess.

Nah mate got all 4 tyres, I do not have run flats fitted so would be clear if a flat. I know their is a sensor on the axal I believe that warns you if you have a flat tyres as like you say its hard to tell with a RFT. Had a stone hit it once (previous Zed) when I was on the motorway bricked it and pulled over told garage told me to press the little wheel button on the dash and it resets it.

I was thinking if the caliper slightly locked on it may have trigered a sensor via the movement/jolt she experienced and may explain the other warning lights... being dropped in this afternoon for a brake inspection... :|

Always worth stating the obvious its usually the last thing you think of lol. I think your hypothesis is a good one though. Momentary unexplained slowing down of a single wheel would cause a dsc possibly abs error which is what the lights indicate.

Thats cool thanks for your input mate

Well this is the pic of the dash..

Updated... well she got back in the car turned the key and the red light went amber then she pulled away all the lights went out :o :D

The garage have said they cannot find anything , but mentioned a dodgy abs sensor or speed sensor?? can knock all of thoses light up so could be the cause. Its going in for a brake check , fluid change and pad & disc's replaced so hopefully get them to check the sensors out ... anyone got any further thoughts... on this speed sensor or abs experience

Was plug in no faults found

Thanks in adavance

Isn't it just a pressure sensor warning? But cant remember which lights came on without looking at the manual.

They are prone to playing up, I was on the motorway in mine the other week and it started bleeping at me. Nothing wrong just reset the sensor and off I went. But it can be a bit of a shock when it comes on.

If you go over a big bump sometimes it sets them off. Just reset the sensor using the manual, lights should go out.

Thanks for the input guys, I will keep the thread updated just in case anyone else experience this hope it was just a glitch but will get it investigated
