help to install srs seat mat bypass emulator 2005 z4

BMW specialist diagnosis for airbag light being on as the passenger seat occupancy mat sensor. We have removed the seat and want to install a bypass emulator. We have a few questions.

1) which product should we purchase to make bypass.
2) do we have to cut any wires to install?
3) it is not obvious based on everything we have read on how to install a bypass on this particular Z4.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ranski - Thanks for the link. Based on the pictures I have posted do you know whether I just have to unplug the connection that has the 3 wires going thru and connect the bypass module? I guess I need to have the codes cleared after?

Remember you need to code car to switch off seat belt reminder as car thinks someone is sitting in passenger seat with bypass emulator. Can be done in SSS software retro fit section.

You need inpa or DIS software to clear codes. If you near me then happy to code you car.

Thanks for all the info. So if I do install the bypass, mac27040 > you are saying that I would need to have the car reprogrammed to disable the seat belt buzzer, otherwise the car thinks someone is seating in the seat, is not wearing their seat belt? I wish I was close to come see you > unfortunately I am in Greenville, SC - USA

Do BMW shops usually have the software to clear the buzzer?

Thanks!

Yes you are correct, It is Bmw software we use to clear the code . You could for now buy a clip to plug in so you don't have to drive round with your seat belt connected up.
