Help to find a part

In a long story short, one of my passengers has been rather forceful with the passenger sun visor. The mirror has cracked inside. I took it out in hope of ordering a replacement mirror but no such luck as the visor is bonded and one plastic peice.

I need to find a replacement but can't find it.

Part number is PA6GF15

PS: don't fight with your ex in the car!

I'd visit any auto parts store and check out small rear view replacement mirrors.
Most have them in various sizes and reasonably priced.
If you have a choice I would choose a mirrored plexyglass one that you can easily trim to size.
You could even consider laminating the new lens over the old mirror ..
Or if you need brownie points with your GF ....
Cut a mirror larger than that punie mirror BMW supplies as stock...
A larger mirror speaks to her on so many levels !!!

Good Luck ...

ps ..Does anyone know how to remove those sun visors ?

Maniac, having a look online before I go to the dealer. Would rather order it and get it sent.

Bumpy, the visor is all moulded in to one piece meaning I can't take it apart. I have managed to get it out of the car but I have no idea on how to replace the mirror inside

I have mirror finished plexy that is about an 1/8 thick. It is easily cut , shaped and edge smoothed.
I understand that it might be impossible to replace the original mirror..
But if you shaped a plexy mirror to stock..or even larger size, you could use peel and stick auto trim tape or even epoxy,
to adhere a new mirror over the cracked original.
Most of the time the mirror is hidden from view anyway.
And the stock mirror is miniscule to begin with.

I mentioned an auto supply store because that's the only place I have seen the plexy mirrors which would provide the raw material to trim.

However ..If you have to have OEM replacement parts ....
Just tryin' to help save you some cash that you could better spend making up with the GF

Keith... hand holding comes to mind lol.. first I find the part (google helps) and then you want a price (google helps)...

RealOEM is a good place to find part nos... for pricing... try: http://www.cooper-bmw-parts.co.uk

£88.90 for plastic visors
£135.11 for leather visors (if your car has extended leather).

You might want to look into whether you can get the mirror repaired at those prices!!!
