Help - Royal Steering Wheels swap, now airbag light on!!

I did watch Jack put the airbag back on and the plugs did seem to be connected ok, although I obviously wasn't watching too closely.

Anyway, I couldn't wait until the morning, so been outside for the last hour. I really struggle with the BMW software, plus my laptop is old and slow, which means everything is tediously slow. But after an hour and going around and around in the software, I have cracked it - the light is now out. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
It was the DIS GT1 software that cracked it.
These errors are shown here.

I couldn't work out how to delete them, so finally just did a "Quick Delete" on all the ECUs and it went. I then did a rescan it no errors. I then did a couple of scans with the Carly Pro on my phone (much faster and easier) and again no errors.

Soooooo relieved.

Buying the K-line cable from Bcables with all the BMW software thrown in for free was such a wise purchase. It saved the day.

glad you sorted it.

I've got the bcable stuff as well and it seems to work fine. I'm still p!ssed at them though for not returning any of my emails to their various email addresses as the BMW reference info links downloads dont work. I was warned before buying they are notorious for non existent customer support.

I burnt three separate copies of the discs using three different brands of discs and three different software burning programs. Each time I go to install the first disc fails at the same point. Still unsure it was an issue with my machine I had an IT Guru mate of mine look at it and try his own downloads on one of his machines, same outcome. Its clearly an issue their end but will they response, will they fook!

Mack, I received the download links via email from them a few weeks ago, and can confirm they work and burn, however rather than burning them, I'd just mount the image using cloned CD virtual drive or the like, install goes MUCH faster than from an optical drive. Do you want me to PM you the links I have?

So I left the battery disconnected for 24 hours and light is still on.

Previously I had used Carly Pro to clear the error and it kept coming back. Repeated this 3 or 4 times when there with Jack. No luck.

Tonight I got my laptop out and tried INPA. I think I'm using the program correctly.
It found the error code....
INPA1.jpg
I then cleared it...
INPA2.jpg

But it immediately comes back each time.

So what now? Anyone any ideas what to do next?
This whole thing is extremely frustrating.

Are you going into DIS and clearing from in there? That's how I cleared mine, as it was doing the same and coming back.

If you are using Windows 10 (or 8 I think) you can right mouse click on the iso file and then click on Mount - you can then just copy the files and folders to a folder of your choice.
