In process now of fitting M front end on my e85 can anyone provide a link on how do this as I am useless and can't find one on here. Got mine off come to fit the M front and it looks as though I have to remove the old corners?? Please assist... :headbang:

no worries, ill be taking off my front end this weekend weather permitting to replace lower corners (got a bargain of £35 the pair off breaker as mine are cracked bad) and need to repair a headlight so i need this tutorial as a guideline myself :thumbsup:

let us know how it all goes and obvs...... a fan favorite before and after pic :fuelfire:
 
OK. Still not going to plan. Headlight shut lines/gaps are all to cock. Looks like passengers side lower corner is forcing the bumper too low.
 
i have read somewhere that the standard and z4m lower corners are different BUT with small modifications can be used just fine, however i dont know what modifications they are, im guessing a small piece needs cutting out if its forcing the bumper to sit out of position?

Yay. Cheers Jingle. "Modification " complete with the assistance of a junior hacksaw. Front end now fitted pics will follow later. Busy on next phase at the mo.
 
sweet, plenty of pics of the modifications u done please, like i say.... will be doing the same over weekend with new corners so chances are ill need to do EXACTLY the same as u so will be a great help :D

Original bumper removed.


New one ready to go on.


This section was the offending piece of front lower inner that was catching.


On this part of the m bumper.


this is the other side already broken so was flexing to allow bumper to fit on this side.


This shows the piece I removed 1 and now clears 2 to fit.


All done and finished with fabricated fang protectors/splitters and brake duct/fog light all fitted(lights still to wire up).
 
thats a great help, havnt even got it off yet but it all makes sense in my head! and where yours is broken and flexes is pretty much what my current broken 1s look like so hopefully once replaced will all sit better and more secure once modified to suit.... ill make sure i take a few pics aswell so u can see my progress to.

Cheers Jingle, No problems mate. I want to fab up some sort of splitter for the centre section which will incorporate fixing points to the front of the undertray which is now too short. This has a couple of temporary fixings at the moment.
 
Had mine up on a ramp earlier (moving the exhaust over slightly to sit more centre) and my current corners are Defo fowling the bumper, can't wait to get finished with football tomorrow morning and take my car apart!! Both front and back bumpers and side skirts.... Gonna look naked :(
 
Have fun Jingle and hope all goes well. I have a rear bumper that I'm planning on modding because I want a quad rear exhaust mod doing and was thinking if it would be possible to move the exits in a bit on both sides...a bit like this....


But will have to see and check for room underneath
 
didnt get around to it this weekend due to time restraints :( BUT i did get my aero skirts on which ill put a pic up in my progress thread and take some better 1s.

hoping to do the rear bumper when the pdc loom comes, and want to do the front 1 evening this week after work depending on weather (hopefully tomorrow)

RE: the bumper in the pic above.... i dont think there will the room, theres barely enough room for a quad splitting into a V (rather than the forum favorite T along inside of bumper) so i very much doubt that would work above, hopefully u can figure something out when u have a look tho
