Hi All,

I'm about a month into E89 35i ownership. hoping to get round to a hello again thread with pictures at some point. i also own a Porsche 997 Turbo, which proves to me that a car does not need rock solid suspension to handle superbly. My question is how do i achieve the same thing in the 35i?

I find the zed a bit too wallowy, but don't want to end up with a ride like the E85. The 997 has active suspension. does that mean without having it on the 35i i might as well give up? will a better set of springs, e.g. H&R, improve things? do i need to go to coilovers to get what i want?

Thanks in advance

Pav

anyone?

i'm thinking coilovers are the way forward. any advice on brands and models?

bilstein and kw seem the obvious choices, but i've seen D2 mentioned in some posts.

anyone changed to coilovers on an E89?

Thanks

Pav

Not sure if it's allowed to link to a competing forum (apologies if it's not) but the guys over here are more into modding and have plenty of experience with suspension mods.

It's more a US forum but the information holds true for our cars too.
