Help !! POP…

Afternoon all,

Hoping someone can help. Have just fitted a bluebus BT module and took the car out for a spirited drive to see how its sounds. Pulled into the drive, parked up and whilst I was fiddling with the stereo, I heard a huge pop/bang, looked up and steam coming out of the bonnet like no tomorrow, got out of the car and it’s dumped all the water.

A quick glance doesn’t show anything obvious but anyone have any ideas? Am lucky it happened on the drive but FFS…..

Sounds most likely to be the expansion tank, unless a pipe has come off.

Just watched a video on it, looks like I’ll need to try and get it towed to the garage.

Are there any recommended aftermarket ones or do I just buy a replacement from BMW?

Was definitely the expansion tank !!
