Help! Please!!!

I've been working on my front bumper today and had to remove it. I followed the guide and was putting the final pieces back together when I can not for the life of me work out how the bloody plastic lugs go back in! They are driving me bonkers!!!!

Can anyone offer advice PLEASE!!!!

It's just like a rawl plug. Straighten out the larger piece and push into its hole then the smaller piece screws into the centre of it thus deforming and spreading the section inside the hole so that it expands and secures the plastic trim.

I wish it was that simple. the pin goes in revers and expands out from the back not the front like a rawl plug does.

The "bolt / heads piece" goes in and then the pinholes I. The middle to expand the shaft and hold in place. You can get new ones from BMW for about £0.13 / each.

Wait til you have to replace a front turn signal bulb.
The sticker shock for the tiny bulb ($40) isn't the worst of it.
And don't be confused by the missing dummy headlight.
There never was a second headlight !
I thought I couldn't find the oil dip stick ...

Take the biggest hammer you can find and bash it in and pour glue all over the top and leave to dry for a week, then sand it down and paint it black. :evil: Good luck

The best bit is all the tutorials say...to put the bumper back on just do what you did in reverse - 1 hour I spent trying to put the plugs back in reverse!
