Help Please-which aux jack

After reading hundreds of posts on multiple forums I have come to understand there are 2 different part numbers being used to add an aux jack in the Z4

The BMW Mini Jack part number is 82110153367
The BMW 3 series E46 part number is 82110149389

Can someone please clarify if both of these will work? What is the difference and which one should I order to keep my install simple?

The two part numbers you have quoted are not showing anything up on Realoem.

But this one 65.12.0.153.502 does as it is the one i had fitted in both my Zed's hope that is of some help

Interesting that the numbers are different. I have been doing my look up on the BMW of Atlanta and BMW of Palm Springs web sites and they are coming up with the numbers I posted in my query. Perhaps the USA numbers are different from the UK. Adds to the confusion.

Yesterday I installed the mini Jack #82110153367. It cost $30 from BMW of Palm Springs. It has a 12 pin socket and fits perfectly into the wiring socket.
Some facts:
I can cycle the selection button on the radio and see 'AUX' regardless if the Iphone is connected.
I am using an Iphone dock cable that splits to both mini jack for the aux-in and USB for charging and it works perfectly
The sound is CD quality and sound levels match the radio output levels.

The docking cable I bought from ebay for $2.59 with free shipping from China:
