Help please - E85 instrument cluster

Hi. Has anybody ever had to have the mileage altered due to a change of instrument cluster please? Is it doable? I've had a 2nd hand donor fitted as the original failed. Any guidance appreciated.

I'm lucky to live near a BMW indy that specialises in coding etc. He coded an LCM for me after mine failed (the LCM also has a record of mileage hence the need to be recoded). I'm sure he could code your instrument cluster. Where are you based?
