Help Please... and pic request

I know this has been spoken about a million times, I have done my due diligence and looked through the forum, but I am left with a few more questions that I started with.

I've got a coupe and I need to change the suspension as it's old and soft and not doing what it is supposed to do. I want to go lower but not silly low, I may do the odd track day that's it. The question is do I need to go for coilovers or will Bilstein shocks (again not sure which ones to go for) with springs give me what I am looking for? I am currently running 108s but have acquired a set of mint 224Ms so I am guessing I will need some spacers on the front to give me an OEM+ square look.

I just need someone to tell me what to do and I would also appreciate any pics with the B12 + spring thing done.

Thanks in advance,
Russ

That looks stunning, what springs are you using?

Thanks, the B12 kit is 4 X Bilstein shocks and a set of Eibach Pro springs… AUTODOC is one of the cheapest places to buy, via the App.

If you go that route, make sure to keep track of price on a daily or even more often basis as the price swings between high £700 and high £900's :!:

Yep, 100%, and be prepared to wait for delivery.

I have to say, my last 3 or 4 Autodoc orders have arrived within a week.

I’m building out my suspension using B4 shocks and eibach pro springs. Hoping the car will drop around 10-20mm
They’ve been built but not installed yet. Hoping possibly to do them next Tuesday.
All bought from AUTODOC when they had a 43% off offer.
Here’s a code that will get you £10 off to start with: AC9993883

Thank you for that.

I am interested to see the results. Autodoc has no Bilstiens for the font on the app currently. What wheels are you running - are you going to use spacers?

I can't offer any insight on the suspension front as I left both of my 3.0Sis on stock Sport suspension.

But you wouldn't need spacers on the front as 224 fronts are ET42 rather than the ET47 108 fronts so the 224s will sit 5mm further out. But having fitted a set of E89 wheels to my 2nd 3.0Si that had were ET29 there is room for more offset without rubbing, on stock Sport suspension anyway.

Good luck finding a set up you like - it seems to be a bit of a dark art from what I have read!

I’ve standard 18” MV2 alloys on the car. It s currently the Sport variant of the coupe and not the SE.
I’m also running 15mm spacers at the front and 20mm at the back.
Not sure what the spacers will be like when the suspension gets put in, but will worry about that at the time.
I’ll be keeping my thread updated as I go along. Keep any eye on it.
