Help pinpointing rattle

My E85 has a rattle somewhere around the instrument console/steering wheel/instrument stalks.

I've pressed and squeezed everything I can as I'm driving and nothing stops it, so I can't pinpoint it. It sounds like it could be a loose screw or a loose backing clip behind a screw. Before I start taking everything apart, has anyone experienced the same and might be able to point me in the right direction, as I can image its like looking for a needle in a haystack.

mine does the same thing (usually worse when cold) I was hoping you could tell me the root cause

I had a rattle that came from drivers windscreen pillar trim. Liberally sprayed GT85 on any joins/mating surfaces and never heard since. GT85 works great for me on most rattles and squeaks. I also had a rattle which drove me mad coming from inside the drivers door card. This turned out to be from the hood mechanism directly above my right ear ! A bit of HT grease and all sorted.
