Hi all,
I need your help.
How can I discover if these wheels are "replica" wheels or original BMW?
The only information I have, for now, it's that they are 18 inches.
I tried to check on a few websites and it seems to me that BMW 101 wheels should" be 19'.

Cross spoke composite wheel - style 101 M
8 x 19 Front ET 37
9 x 19 Rear ET 39

225/35 R19Y
255/30 R19Y
- Single wheel, front : 36 11 6 774 008
- Single wheel, rear : 36 11 6 774 009

If you remove the wheel you should be able to see a BMW logo and part number embossed onto the inner cast some where if they are genuine BMW parts, however the 108's on my car are actually a BBS wheel but are a Genuine BMW part if you see what i mean..

Many thanks for the really quick reply!!!!!! :D :D :D
To me it's clear.
It's what I suggested to the guy who has these rims.
In the meantime on realoem I found the following codes:
Front 36116759896
Rear 36116759897

I'm still waiting to have a few more information from the owner of the 101.
In the meantime (soluzione A is a bad photoshop done by myself), which one do you like most?

I can almost confirm you that I'll keep my elipssoid.
What I was expecting from 101 wheels was the "rim contour" as below:

In the meantime I got a few pics more of the 101 of this guy and the wheels seem "flat" (my poor english does not allow me to give a better explanation :x )

So, finally, I'll keep my elipssoid :D

I went through the keep the 'elipsoid or change' debate and had some photoshop renditions of darker wheels done.

Might be of interest to you

I've so far ended up keeping the original colour

:) Thanks!!!
THere is an italian guy that made them chromed.
Interesting but too expensive and difficult to keep clean.
Anyhow I think that I'll follow your suggestion: keep them stock silver.

I'd love to buy a 19' set but here in Italy is forbidden (if not stated on MOT papers)
