Help on pricing.

Chaps and chappette's, horrah! I may have found a new car to replace my beloved written off e85. It's a 56 plate 3.0si auto with flappy roadster. Standard spec no mods with 82k on the clock. M seats and mfsw, but no sat nav.
I hate buying cars and rubbish with valuation. It's from a dealer with a little curbing from what I can see, and more than likely the usual stone chips. Going to see at the weekend.
Pricing varies so much on here and on other sites, but what kind of money should I be aiming for as a guide with the mileage?

Hi, I would guess at about £7k private or £8k from the dealer?
Mr wilks may be along later & he's good at this pricing lark
:P

Id be with you there mr B , id be wanting to be around 10% either way on those numbers dependent on actual condition, history, colours, wheels, tyres etc
if the car is coming from a half decent dealer they should be offering the car fully prepped & warranted ( most likely not worth a bag of carrots but it does ease some buyers nerves ) but that doesn't come free
If the "dealer" is trying to offload it with minimum spend then I would be wary of paying more than £8k as it will soon become £8500 a
after a few jobs & a 56 plate auto roady heading for 90k will look expensive after that especially with what we've seen through the forums recently
Great times for buyers right now , not so good for sellers :(

Haha, cheers bud. I'm so so so missing behind the wheel of a zed!

Look at the paperwork for a replacement water pump, if it's not been done it's going to need one soon.
It's expensive at the dealers & still a few hundred doing it yourself

That sounds promising OP!

I hope it is a good one, and you can do a good deal.

I can't really help with E85 prices, but for sure the water pump is expensive! Last December my Ruby Black one needed a new one - Euro car Parts quoted £340 for the pump, but I bottled out of DIY and got my local specialist to do it. OEM pump was £500 plus another £100 for the thermostat, + fitting!

Just a quick query, but if your 2.5 was a facelift do you happen to have the Owners Handbook still as my E86 came with a pre-facelift one (which isn't much good seeing as E86s are all facelifts)! Beer tokens on offer if you do - maybe PM me?

Anyway, I hope you can get back into a Z4 a.s.a.p. - you certainly miss them when you don't have one!

I hope so too, will keep you guys updated! Unfortunately my 2.5 was a 2003, otherwise you would have been more than welcome to it!
The last piece went today as I sent the spare key, v5, and service book to the salvage dealer. So if anyone wants any parts (inc a gaptech installed ). 313 reps with eagle f1s, a parrot (I have the screen here) interior was pretty mint! It's at a salvage yard in before called copart apart from the engine bay (which is a tad shorter it's in bloody good Nic!
