Help!! - now sorted :) or not :( 'Transport Mode'?

She doesn't start. This morning I decided to give the engine bay a quick spring clean, so went round most places with a damp microfibre cloth. Whilst I had the lid up I thought I'd turn the engine on just to see it ticking over. Several clicks and then a whirr, it doesn't start. Slightly more worrying is that a couple of the electronic things have reset themselves such as the clock, average mileage and average mph. Could I have damaged something giving it a clean or co-incidence. I had posted a previous thread a couple of weeks ago saying the engine tone had changed. I've taken a video and waiting for it to upload. Any assistance is greatly appreciated, I was planning to drive it away over the Easter weekend :headbang:
 
I just popped out and everything is secure around the battery. Hopefully it is just a flat battery somehow. I last drove the car on Friday so not a great length of time between then and now. I'll see if someone can try and jump me.
 
was the car sitting unused for a long period of time before Friday when you used it?
If so, the start up on Friday could have drained the battery and if you didn't run the car for too long, it wouldn't have recharged the battery.
 
I do quite a few short trips due to the fact that everything is local. Not great for car or battery I guess.

I freaked because I was cleaning the engine bay and thought it was possible to have damaged electrics.

I hadn't noticed this, with it being nice lately and roof down weather. I went to demist the the rear window today, the button was dead. All four of those buttons were off. The auto comes on if pressed, and the air filter thing button works but the aircon button does not consequently aircon is not working. After some forum searching it appears my car may have gone into 'transport mode' due to the power outage.

Is there any indication of transport mode being applied (I don't have a diagnostic) or any other symptoms does anyone know?

Odd thing when I had the starting problems I noticed the driver window was slightly open a couple of times.
 
Reasonably bizarre that in 'transport mode' the roof still powers, radio, seat heating yet heating the rear glass is shut down, which could be considered somewhat of a safety feature.
