Help. No OBD access.

Sorry this applies to my old 5 series.
I have just got my car E39 back from the most inept garage ( see https://z4-forum.com/threads/engine...d-into-disaster-your-opinions-welcome.157796/).

Now I have no power to any of my four OBD code readers!

I have just checked three fuses, they are all OK. Do you have any advice please?

Check more fuses (all of them) - doesn't take long.

After that you are looking for wiring damage - start from the OBD port & work back. It's tough as it's all behind the dash - but maybe you will find something unplugged.

After that - find a good e39 forum online maybe - somewhere more specific knowledge might be had?

Three fuses 44 56 58 okay

OBD port.
Pin 4 and 5 are gnd. They are okay
Pin 16 power. No voltage! It is a red/bk cable

I shall look at fuses.

Fault found.
Red/bk in fuse panel (25 radio/instruments.) was blown.
Replaced with another 7.5A, OBD working now.
