Help no lights!

Just fitted a mfsw to my car, it an 03 plate & required the retro fit cable, my local bmw dealer could not get the cable I required but I noticed on a thread it was just 2 wires & others have just used them. Got them from the dealer. I've followed the thread on how to fit on here, everything went great, or so I thought, connected the battery but now I've no lights at all & the buttons not working on the wheel either.
Any idea people? I'm trying not to panic!!!
 
Any body got any idea on this problem for Cracker? I would have thought if its just plug and play it should work?
 
According to the retrofit pdf for multi function steering wheel, it requires coding in the retrofit section. Maybe this will sort out the issue.

Thanks for the response gentlemen.
All I can do at the moment is beat myself about it as I'm at work till 10pm.
I'll be back on it 1st thing.
I'll take the 2 wires back off & see what happens then.
Need to get this sorted as no indicators is just asking for trouble!!!
If anyone else has suggestions then please feel free.

We'll after 2hrs of starring at wires I have lights! Undid everything nothing & tried it again & bingo.
The buttons on the wheel aren't working, they light up but that's for another day.
I can stop stressing now.
