Hi All!
Just bought Z4 3.0Si coupe and already falling in LOVE!
I'll be so glad to get some support regarding phone pairing. Car was made in USA for Japan and has "Car Telephone Preparation Japan".
Does it mean that I need some special phone or I can use ordinary GSM phone?
How can I pair?

Interesting question. There is no GSM in Japan but the link is BT so surely as long as the protocol is followed surely ( ahem ) the phone should connect . The Bluetooth link doesn't know about the network configuration , or I'm I (very possibly) missing something.

The pairing button is at the inside top of the hinged part of the centre console as far as I remember.

 
Thanks for picture! I do not have this kind of button. Only on the steering wheel.
by the way any link to buy rear hatch glass?
 
Got me stumped then. Every one I've seen has the button in the drop-down. Maybe a Japanese peculiarity ?

Use an online VIN decoder to see what it was factory fitted with.

No advice on the rear screen 'Im afraid. If it is bonded then there wont be any second hand ones.
