Help needed with wiring schematics

Hello all.

Does anybody know how to access wiring diagrams for the e85 window switch module on both doors? I'm after the cables responsible for the back lighting of the module.

I want to splice to feed off a bit of EL wire i want to install on the doors and i want it to be dimmable with the rest of dash lights.

Feel free to tell me I'm wrong but surely EL wire is illuminated by an inverter. Reducing the volts supply to the inverter will just eventually switch it off and besides I believe the illumination is supplied as LED's which are "dimmed" by using pulse width modulation ie. flashing them faster than the human eye can discern then "dimming"dl.jpeg them by reducing the flash rate. You could use LED's yes, but not electroluminescent sheet or wire.
 
[ref]Jl-c[/ref], im afraid ill have to correct you. EL already tested on the dimmer by temporarily connecting it to my illuminated knob's (oh matron! :oops: ) supply. It works a treat! Thanks for the comment, though. Originally i thought like you, but i was happy to see it works with no sign of a flicker :thumbsup:

I thought about using LED strips, but at 5watt per meter they draw way too much current. A lot more than the standard entire illumination inside the car, which makes me fear for the longevity of the dimmer.
