Help needed with strange glue

After washing my zed on Sunday I discovered 3 strange lines of what I thought was tree sap or glue on my passenger door. I tried T-cut but no luck removing. Found loads of American YouTube videos of people using hand sanitizer / alcohol gel, but no luck.

Any advise to remove if it's some sort of glue ( Hopefully some dic*he*d hasn't put superglue on my door)

I would try iron-x.

Shouldn't use anything like t-cut on a modern car, it's too abrasive. There are better products designed for clear coat.

If it is something like tree sap or glue, Tardis should do the job

Failing that, it's possible that it's been caused by runny bird poo - this can etch the top coat very quickly and you may find that you need a once-over with a machine polisher to remove it

Difficult to see in the photos exactly whats there. But I would try some sort of tar remover type product rather than a paint cutting agent. If its just sat on the paint you just want to remove it rather than cutting into the paint to do so.
Obviously if its damaged the paint that's a different matter and a cut and polish is your only option.

I'd try a paper towel and some gasoline.
After that wax/polish.

This.

Worked on my wife's car when it got covered in tree sap. You also might need to use your finger nails :-)

Cheers for your responses
I will try the petrol first as I think I used petrol to remove the badge glue with no harm to the paint

It's very difficult to see what we're actually looking at, could be a number of things. Is it sticky to touch?

Any glue can be removed using any kind of tar remover or even nail varnish remover ( dont tell the mrs :P )

Did using t-cut help reduce these marks? If so repeat as required until all marks are gone.

It's more likely to be some kind of cavity wax giving the way its "dripped" down the paintwork, would rarely see tree sap having the ability to do the same. Tar remover, petrol, or nail vanish remover.

Keep us posted :)
