Help needed with heated seat fitting

Hi all,

I just took delivery of machine monkeys heated and elec seats which I am going to place in my non elec 2003 e85

I fitted cruise easily as I was told preface lifts have all elec looms fitted,I took out the non elec seats and had to disconnect a yellow plug but when I looked under the new seats there are three small connections and I don't have plugs or loom to connect them ??.

Could it be under the carpet or have I a problem, got the center console panel and hooked it up fine, anyone got pics of under seat connections please

After browsing for the night I've found a post with pics, did you remove the yellow multi plug from your seats by any chance, it's looks like the three dangling wires may plug into that and then my std harness plugs into that Monkey ....

If it's any use, this is what the underside of heated electric Sport seats looks like:

And this is what the connector (on the seat) looks like:

When I went from heated to heated + electric, I had to add wires to the loom of the car to support the electric adjustment (see link in signature). It was a facelift model though - like you, I was under the impression that pre-facelift cars already have this wiring plumbed in.

Cheers pt,

Excellent,I think the yellow quick lock was removed prior to sale which meant my car connection won't match up with new seats.Looks like I can take from my old seats and swap over.
I'll report back to help the next user !!

Figured it out with help from pics above, the seatbelt pretensionears ad the side of the plug I needed,MM told me he was keeping them so I'd need to swap mine over but I didn't realize they were one piece,

Swapped them over and had fitted and working in 30 mins.

Takes to all for the help, invaluable

Just noticed when in the car alone the pass seat won't switch on, lights flash when button pressed but that's it, is it because no ones sitting there I wonder, haven't tried to swap seats yet (my position)

The seats have a occupancy sensors, so it could be someone has to be sat there, I'll check in a bit if no one else can confirm

Never tried turning mine on without anyone in the passenger seat before but makes sense that the occupancy sensor would disconnect the circuit if there is no one in in the seat
