N52 3.0L E86 Coupe.
Silver top engine.

Removed the fuel pipe.
Unbolted the 4x10mm bolts holding the rail in.
Disconnected the wiring harness from the rail.
Rail is attached to the injectors, which are still in the engine.

I am trying to pull the rail and injectors out, but nothing is budging.
All videos I have watched just seem to have people give a bit of a pull and it all pops off.

Anyone any tips/tricks that would help?

Appreciated.

I can only recall the m54 set up that I last worked on- the rail being pulled up left some injectors in the ports and some came up with the rail?

I’m fairly sure the n52 will be the same?

That part at 8min is exactly where I am stuck. In the video the person gives the rail and injectors a little wiggle, and hey presto, everything comes out.
There does seem to be a cut in the video, so I suspect there was a lot more tugging and pulling before they came out.
I’m tempted to straddle the engine, feet in the engine bay, hunker down and pull.
However, personal injury is more likely to happen.
There must be some trick, tool or something…

I’d find a place I can get a lever bar/pry bar under the rail with some cloth to see if I can get it moving

That’s what I was thinking, but just could see anything obvious. Plus the added fact of being scared that the rail would bend or brake, or an injector would snap.
You just never know how far to push things before they fail.
