I was driving home today when a red warning light flashed up on the dash. It is an exclamation mark with brackets round it and a zig-zag line at the bottom. It is identical to the symbol on the button on the centre console which I think relates to the run flat system. The light is Red and on constantly. I pulled over and turned the car off, when i started it up again it beeped and the light came on again.

Can anyone tell me what it means?

I'm hoping it's just the tyres as they get changed on Wednesday anyway!

Thanks

Simon

Check the tyre pressures - read the manual and it will tell you how to reset the tyre warning light.

Thanks for the replies. Having looked through the stack of stuff I got with the car I don't seem to have a manual!! The service book is there and loads of receipts and BMW merchandise but no manual!!

I turned the car on, held the run flat button down on the centre console for a while and the light went off. Then I turned the car off, on again and it's fine.

The tyres get changed for Falcon FK452's on Wednesday when the wheels get refurbished so it's not a problem anyway.

Thanks

Si

You also need to drive the car after pressing the rest button otherwise the system will not set itself properly.
