Help me pick which laptop

That helps out a lot. I know what you mean about carrying around a huge laptop. I had a 17" Dell my first year of my bachelors degree. It barely fit in my backpack.

Thanks for the help guys! I think I'm most likely going to go with the 11" Air, but I'll try to see them side by side before I make the final decision.

Tom, your link was to the Pro, the link I am referring to was to the air. That doesn't have the 4th gen CPU either.

The main feature of the 2013 MBA is the haswell architecture.

http://www.apple.com/macbook-air/features.html#processor

'MacBook Air is powered by the all-new fourth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. This ultra-efficient architecture was designed to use less power and still deliver high performance. Which means not only can you do whatever you want — you can keep doing it for longer than before. In addition, the new Intel HD Graphics 5000 offers up to 40 percent faster graphics — performance you’ll especially notice with games and other graphics-intensive tasks.'

We're saying the same thing from different angles.

The link Sonnyz4 sent, and the spec he posted, was not to the new Air but the previous model. So if he's being given one as a part of his course, maybe it's old generation and that will impact his decision making. Yes, I know the new one is Haswell (or to use it's proper name, fourth generation core) I sit in an office as part of the company that makes them :)

Turns out I can spend $299 and upgrade to the 13" Air, so I'm ordering that next week when I'm on campus

Considering how much I'm spending on tuition...it should just be a free upgrade haha
