Im 24 and ive got mine insured with admiral for about £835 quid for 10 months bonus accel plan.
4 years no claims
mummys on the insurance as a named driver - lowered it by 300 quid!

good luck with the search mate, dont settle for less 3.0 all the way!

At an MOT there are advisories which are things that may have made the car fail had they been much worse.

Ie, a nearly at the limit tyre might get an advisory, or a bad condition exhaust.

To access the advisories and MOT record generally (ie, you can see what the car failed on before it then passed the MOT, so you can get an idea of how well the car is looked after too), you need either an old or the current MOT reference number to access the record, or the V5 (log book) reference number

It really is well worth doing. Travelling to see cars can be time consuming and costly, so doing homework before you even plan to go look is important, even if it's a trader selling the car!

Give the seller a ring and get the details. If they don't want to provide them then they probably have something to hide imo!

Chris I didn't know your roof went so recent after the purchase it took 2 weeks after I bought mine private to go!! Sounds similar to mine.
 
mine is for sale in exeter if you can stretch your budget a bit - its a minter and has a top spec fully loads still with warranty!
