Plenty of Youtube videos showing how Marlon - looks the easiest way to try black. . .

Thanks Paul, watched a few and it seems that a top tip is to place the can in hot water before spraying.
Anyway just ordered a can of Plasti Dip off Amazon :)

Very interested to see how you get on

Plasti Dip arrived this morning :) Weather forecast is rain for 3 days - possibly Sunday pm clearing, will have to be patient :(

Another wet and windy day here - hasn't stopped raining since the Plasti Dip arrived :headbang:
Isn't there a local free parking garage you could use? You'd only need a couple of hours for 3 -4 coats + drying intervals.
I use one down the road from me in Vleuterweide under a shopping precinct, Have used it many a time during crappy weather. the cops have caught me on occasion but being this is Holland, they're pretty laid back, usually have a chat and then they toddle off after advising me not to drop any oil on the floor or leave anything behind. :)

Last used for tweaking the hardtop before xmas...

nice idea Chris - looks like it works for you over there, but here in Preston there's no such thing as free parking - especially covered parking. Will just have to be patient and wait for Spring :)

first dry still day so got on with it:

Not sure how long this will last - edges needed touching up, this stuff wants to peel doesn't it!
Anyway I can see how it goes and if I decide to keep it black I may do it over again but with undercoat and normal spray paint.

The hardtop is coming off later so I will see how it looks with the top down - will add some pics tomorrow.

It appears to have a very matt finish and a glossy top coat would match the roof better, the right choice though.
I've just read Taz's post on page 1 - maybe me but I think I understand

Matt black roof would match  Or just go for a matt side on the roof, with a gloss middle.

Pastidip is normally matt finish but glossifier would shine it up. I'm surprised you are having lifting problems, Marlon. When I've used it, it sticks well including edges (although I used the stuff from frost.co.uk rather than Pastidip)

Sorry Colin but I think you should of wrapped it

Don't like the Matt finish. Although the overall look is great, it just needs to be gloss

Just looked again and without the roof it might be ok.
