Help identifying my exhaust setup..

As someone that’s not super technical and never done an exhaust job before, wondering if someone can help me figure out what exhaust setup I’ve got using the video below…

I know I’ve got a Super Sprint because it says so on the tip, but curious if it’s the full system or just cat-back or just axle-back

Also curious whether I’ve got all 3 of the cats that were required for the US market or whether one has been deleted

…and if you happen to notice any other mods / upgrades / suspension changes in the video, would appreciate that info as well. I am aware of the rear diff leak shown here and had the dealer fix that before purchase…

Thanks all!

Looks like just axle back. X-pipe look stock. Secondary cats look to still be on the S-pipes. Primary cats are in the headers, which your video doesn't show. You should have 4 cats that's in the US market, not 3!

Yep agree with XMetal, you have the Supersprint back boxes only with the rest being stock. Reason a know is I have the Supersprint X pipe.

You have standard shocks on the rear as well as standard anti roll bar, front from the very brief clip is a standard anti roll bar, rear springs I’d say standard from the black colour looking OEM. It would seem it’s a standard car bar the back boxes. Good news is it’s very very clean and rust free under there, looks excellent.

Thank you! I’ve since added an eventuri intake and it sounds great, except sometimes the exhaust can drone / boom a little at around 2k rpm. Does anyone know of an axle back option that would be a little throatier than stock but not as boomy as super sprint?

Looks like you got the Race exhaust. You can try their sports (powerloop) version, which is quieter but still deeper and louder than stock. Eisenmann Sports/Race is also a good alternative and still quieter than Supersprint Race, but a bit on the pricey side. Stromung is popular for having a throatier, but still much quieter than Supersprint Race. Remus is similar to Eisenmann Sports, but unfortunately is no longer in production. You have one of the louder exhaust, if not the loudest exhaust for the Z. The only one that is louder would be RPi.

FYI - I have that same Supersprint Race on my coupe for less than a week before I pulled it off. The drone at 2K-3K was unbearable in a coupe! I am currently very happy with my Eisenmann Sports + Rogue Engineer X-pipe and I think it's perfect...well...almost.

Your hardware all looks incredibly clean, looks like you come from a dry (and warm) state.

I was going to recommend the Remus back boxes before I saw that they’re discontinued. I’m very happy with mine - great noise that is well balanced with a GruppeM intake, no drone, lighter than stock and pass sound regs for track days. Keep an eye on the used market, you might be lucky!

Thanks all! I was in the mountains today and realized there is a mod I need more urgently than a quiter exhaust - brakes! The brake fade when you’re on it hard coming down a mountain is pretty profound. Perhaps it’s because I’m coming out of a c7 corvette that I wasn’t expecting it, those brakes basically never faded - but yeah I’d like to do something about this sooner rather than later. Any suggestions for which components should be upgraded and what brand? Thanks!
