Help, I need a new wheel!

Guys,

I thought I had a flat tyre but it turns out I have got a cracked 17inch double spoke alloy on my Zed, which means the tyre keeps deflating

I was wondering if anyone knew of the cheapest place to get a new wheel (replica or original)? Also how much roughly would one wheel cost?

Many Thanks
Nick

Yep, they are 103's. I couldn't see any on e-bay but I will keep looking.

Would the weights be massivey different?

Thanks guys

guess that depends on the replica - and Im guessing

If they are differing weights I would think the ABS sensors etc wouldn't like it too much :idunno:

4 for £240:

The car is still under 12 month used car warranty so hopefully they will replace it and it won't be wear and tear. I've only had it 7 months!

gotta be worth a try

I would say the warranty is very much based upon where and why it is cracked.

If say at the edge and it could be determined to match with kerb or other user damage then no chance.

If it is somewhere away from road impact, or any tyre replacement tools (if you've had new tyres) then I'm sure a claim based around a manufacturing fault would be paid.

Cheers cj10. I took the car to the garage initally thinking it was a flat and they changed the tyre and I drove off. The next day the tyre light came on again so I took it back in and this was when they found the crack. They still had the old tyre which was obviously fine so they put that on the front (i need to change my front tyres anyway so no big deal).

Hopefully BMW don't try and say the crack was caused by changing the tyre! I might get the tyre fitting place to put the old tyre back on the cracked wheel to be on the safe side.

Ok, so BMW had a look and apparently my front and back offside wheels are buckled and apparently this caused the crack. I said it wouldn't have been from kerbing but they said it may have been from potholes or other road damage.

BMW get away with it again :headbang:

Phoned the company advertising on e-bay as posted above but they didn't have set of four, they sold me one for £90inc VAT.
