Leeds - you know where it is
Hi folks

First visit in quite a while. Greetings to the old guard and the new.

I'm looking for some advice or help regarding how to remove the headliner from a Coupe (it's a MCoupe FTAOD). I have a dent on the roof exterior and have lined up a PDR guy to come and fix. God knows how the dent got there - I'm thinking possibly a neighbour's kids have hit a tennis ball which hit the car, or perhaps a firework landed on the roof last year. Either way, the PDR guy may want to remove the headliner if he's going to use a rod from beneath to press out the ding. He might try and use the glue method but I juts want to be prepared in case he wants the headliner out.

Does anyone know how to remove the headliner?

Cheers

I doubt he'll want to remove the headliner, they normally just access through a small opening, light the interior light or something like that.

Doubt it too.
Otherwise
Necessary preliminary tasks:
Remove both panels for roof pillar at front (A-pillar)
Remove both sun visors
Remove both panels for door pillar (B-pillar)
Remove both trims for roof pillar at rear (C-pillar)
Remove ceiling light
If necessary, remove module for passenger compartment protection
If necessary, remove both head restraints

Then

Move both seats fully towards front and backrests towards rear.

Feed out roofliner (1) sideways from mucket (2).

Slide roofliner (1) forwards from sliding clip (3).

Remove roofliner (1) to passenger door.

Installation:
Release sliding clip (3) from roof and fit on roofliner (1).

Thanks for the replies chaps, that's useful info. Given the instructions from @TomK I really hope they do leave it in place!!
Cheers

Turns out that the headliner did need dropping but only a little, accessed from the rear of the car under the hatchback. I suppose it will depend where your dent is as to what you have to remove/loosen.
Thanks again lads.
