Hello,

I have my MOT this week and my passenger headlight washer arm decided to fire out. In need of a replacement ASAP.

Can anyone assist or point my in the right direction?

This it's part number: 61677057451

Based in South Gloucestershire.

Thanks

Rob

If it's pre-2006 I don't think it's an MOT requirement anyway, so you may have a bit more time to sort it.

[ref]Pondrew[/ref], On the way to Bristol and they activated. Thought at the time it seemed like a lot of water. When I got to work, the plastic cover and the arm it attaches to with the nozzle on has gone!
It's a 2003, so if it's not a failure that would be amazing, although it does have Xenons?

Looks like it won't be a problem for your MOT (pre 2009 not tested). Just to be sure I would ring your MOT place and ask as the info is quite confusing.

My car had a leaking jet and a broken cap when I bought it so I got the leak sorted and fitted a new cap.

But then I pulled Fuse 40 to ensure nothing else went missing, and it avoids streaks along the wings.

It also has Xenons but has passed 2 MOTS like that - I'm sure cars registered before 2009 don't need headlamp washers.

Pre 2009 cars are not tested. I pulled the fuze on mine ages ago.
Doesn't make any sense, though. If you have xenons and the requirement is for them to have washers, why does the age of the car have anything to do with it?
My 2013 E89 had to have working washers to pass, yet my 2008 E92 with exactly the same headlights and washers doesn't. Good old UK legislation

That’s what the law says. The washers don’t do anything useful anyhow and after loosing one of the caps on mine I gave up with them!
