HELP had an accident, need advice

Gutted. If that happened to me I would be pissed. That's a brilliant plate too. Must be easy £10K+ obviously to the right buyer with those initials but I know it's a family heirloom so probably not worth selling unless you were desperate for cash. I have 2 dateless plates too. They look so much better than dated plates. I have one with 3 letters an 2 numbers worth £5K ish, and one with 3 letters and 3 numbers worth a minimum £1.5K but to the right buyer potentially 10-20 times that.

Could I get the cigarette lighter socket (i need the full thing I cannot charge phones, etc and dealer said it needs replaced)?

I can get one from USA for £10 new but they want $50 to ship it here :thumbsdown:

I'm asking for a ciggy lighter socket here, not his lights, cruise control stalk, hardtop, etc.

It's a part that nobody is going to miss but I want for charging phone.

I've asked in a thread about buying said part in the UK and no replies, bumped it again and no replies, so thought I would ask here. No big deal though. I have a family member going to america soon, will simply get one delivered to relatives house and they can pick up from there. Just thought it would be worth a shout to source it locally than get one to travel across the world.

You are correct I admit that, which I have apologised for on past posts .. and was brave enough to accept the flack for

all this is old news like vinyl stuck in the groove, I have my faults which I accept ... but you, not sure ? I have not seen one post where you encourage or support other fellow Z4 forum members on this forum. This forum is supposed to be about fellow members supporting each other in their adventures & exploits ... sure you can dig up my old posts good and bad, but at least I try and learn from them.

You are a very dark member .. Ok for example Lux & Jasperoony, I can see how I may have upset them in my unpredictable by nature comments & decisions but they come across as normal members where they have very valid feedback towards me which I accept .. but again I try and learn from this on a social media site.

But I am no bully and try my best to be polite .. sure there are examples where I lose it, which I am sure you will dig out as examples on this forum ... but you, I am really unsure of your hidden agenda on this site & what you can hopefully contribute ?
 
Couldn't you two take your argument to your own thread instead of abusing this poor guys RIP car thread? Have a little humanity for the poor guy...

SonnyA85, I'll keep this brief as this thread has sadly gone way off topic already, but if your issue is the same as my car which also had no power to the ciggy lighter socket then I might know the problem, PM me for details on how I fixed it if you are handy with a multimeter (able to measure for a short circuit), I will reply to you but I'm out & about a lot this weekend so bear with me.

OP, so sorry that your car looks to have come to a nasty end to it's life.
 
Absolutely gutted for you! Hope everything gets sorted ok. Don't worry about retaining the plate you won't have any issues.

Gutted for you buddy I take it its not just the boot and bumper that's damaged? Hard to tell from the picture. Might be worth buying back to get all the goodies off it and swapping them over. Not sure how you stand if you strip bits off the car if the insurer pays out??
 
The main thing is that you're OK. As previously stated, the number plate is yours, so no need to worry there.

I do hope that you get it all sorted and that you find a new Zed.
 
Really gutted for you :( But yes, definitely make are you take off the roof, and the other stuff definitely take also. My brother crashed an mx5 years ago, with the hard top fitted. Not only did they not allow him to take it after the write off, but they penalised him for not telling them he had the hard top on.
